Thyroid Cytopathology Partners is partnered with Veracyte, the South San Francisco-based leader in molecular cytology, to provide cytopathology review for samples submitted for the Afirma® Thyroid FNA Analysis. We have assembled a highly-trained, sub-specialized group of cytopathologists who exclusively review thyroid nodule FNAs, ensuring exposure to both common and rare thyroid lesions.

Sharenda Williams, MD

Dr. Williams received her medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, followed by a fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining TCP in June 2014, Dr. Williams was a staff pathologist at Red River Valley Pathology Laboratories in Paris, Texas. She is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology.
Dr. Williams is a member of several professional organizations, including the College of American Pathologists, the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the American Society of Cytopathology, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association.
